New military history research: The second Lebanese Civil War and the Mexican Revolution


In Middle Eastern Studies, an article by Ohannes Geukjian on the affect the Lebanese Armenian diaspora had on the second Lebanese Civil War that ran from 1975 to 1990.  Geukjian studies the affect and determined that the diaspora in this case and in other cases had and can have positive influence on the outcome of conflict resolution.

In the Journal of Latin American Studies: Travesia, Rielle Navitski examines a 1919 film ‘El automovil gris” about  Mexican gang operating during the Mexican Revolution.  Navitski shows how the film exposes cultural attitudes about industrialization, urbanization and the civil war.
