Israelis. Marines have been deployed here to participate in a
multinational peacekeeping operation.

New military history research: Lebanese Civil War of 1975
The
British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies presents a study by Dan Naor of Syrian
intervention in Lebanon prior to the Civil War of 1975. Naor argues that from 1970-1975, Syria
directly and indirectly laid the foundation for its future involvement in the
1975 Civil War.
