In
the latest First World War Studies, Frances Trix writes on the report published by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace on the events and
causes of the Second Balkan War of 1913.
Trix writes that thought the inquiry made by the Endowment was published
too late in 1914 to be of interest to many,
the research done was a strong early attempt at documenting war
crimes and human rights abuses. Trix
also explains the worth and the deficiencies of the document as a historical
record of the war.
